Why is the Berlitz Method so successfil?
During our 133 years of teaching we stress natural processes in commincation and teach through conversation. The main goal is to prepare the children to communicate with friends in other countries.
How do children learn at Berlitz?
Through active participation. Children learn faster while practicing activites. We include activities, games and role playes appropriate to child's age that enhance vocabulary and grammar learning..
How can I help my child to learn a new language?
Ask the child to tell you what took place in the classroom. Ask the child to teach you words he/she has learnt. Your child will be proud to be your teacher. Your child will repeat the knowledge acquired in the classroom. We also recomment the book "Help your child with a foreign language", by Berlitz, (ISBN 2-8315-680604)
What is expected from group instruction?
We observe that the best effects in teaching children are achieved when children learn with a group of their friends. They share the experience, identify with each other and experience the sense of community. This enchances chances for sucess and gives children comort and security while learning.
What languages are offered for Kids learning at Berlitz?
It depends on the city. Generally we offer English, German, Spanish and French. At the moment in Warsaw, at Towarowa Street we also offer classic Arabic for children.
Who are our teachers and what is their training?
Our instructors are either native speakers or bilingual instructors. All of them have vast experience in teaching young learners. They undergo the training in the Berlitz Method and special training for classroom management, creativity workshops and others to make them successful with your children.
How big are groups for kids ?
In most centers groups are 3, 4 to 6 or 7 to 12 students depending on the age group and program.
What kind of classes are offered?
During the school year we offer classes once of twice a week. Programs are adjusted to childrens' needs depending on the age group or program taken outside of Berlitz.
The length of classes?
One meeting usually takes 1,5 hours. During that time we offer some physical activity, listening to music, singing and projects for teenagers. The length of classes is adjusted to the age, program and numer of participants in the group.
The length of the course ?
During the school year the course takes around 30 weeks. It starts in September or October and finishes in June.
Classes outside of Berlitz?
Berlitz can organize classes practically anywhere. We teach in public schools or preschools. We can organize classes in private homes. Our latest offer is Berlitz Virtual Classroom for teenagers.
How many students are in open groups ?
The number of students varies depending on the program, age, premises. Usually classes are from 5 to 10 persons. For Berlitz Virtual Classroom classes are from 3 to 5 students.
